Maps for the 4th of July Weekend, 2025

These maps are to help residents and visitors to Elkins understand where various events occur during this year’s 4th of July weekend. Feel free to use these maps as suggested guides for the parade, car show, and note streets/highways closed for the fireworks display on the evening of July 4, all based on information that the City of Elkins has received from the various events’ organizers.

The City is not the official host or sponsor for any of the events during this year’s 4th of July weekend. Please check the Facebook pages for the community volunteer organizations organizing these events, Our Town and Citizens for Community, for updates. The City of Elkins will post updates about the 4th of July weekend’s events on our Facebook page as we receive them. A list of suggested events is available here.

Disclosure

Both maps serve as visual guides to parking and non-parking zones in the downtown Elkins area during the 4th of July weekend. Users of either map should be aware that while every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of these maps, actual conditions and regulations on the ground may vary. The information provided is not guaranteed to be up-to-date or comprehensive, and routes or designated areas may change over time.

Parking availability is subject to periodic restrictions, especially during local events. Users of this map are reminded to always exercise due diligence and adhere to all official road signs and instructions when parking. Visual indications on this map should not be seen as overriding any physical signs or guidance found at the parking location itself.

It’s important to note that some street parking areas in the downtown region might impose specific time limits, like a 3-hour maximum, while others may be entirely unrestricted. At all times, it’s crucial for users to check and abide by any posted time limitations or conditions. Unauthorized parking in private or designated restricted areas can lead to vehicles being towed, with all associated costs, including those for towing and storage, being the responsibility of the vehicle owner.

In all situations, we advise users to exercise their best judgment and ensure that their parking decisions are in line with local laws and regulations. Both maps serve as suggested guides and are not exhaustive or definitive sources on parking regulations in downtown Elkins.
