4th of July Events, Elkins, 2025
We wish everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July!
Here’s a list of local events this coming weekend. Our friends over at the Elkins Depot, and other community organizations do more than a fine job putting on events for the Fourth of July weekends and other holidays throughout the year.

Friday, July 4
Scenic Train Excursion – New Tygart Flyer (call the Depot to see if there are tickets) 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Downtown Elkins Parade: 5:00 p.m.
Our Town Music Concert Series: 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Mountain State Street Machines Auto Extravaganza: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (these times could slightly change)
Saturday, July 5
Gold Star Families Memorial Monument dedication: 11:00 a.m., Veterans Memorial Park on Railroad Avenue. More information: https://woodywilliams.org/monuments/elkins-wv.html
249th Army Band, Rotary Amphitheater, 5:00 p.m.
Lions Club of Elkins Chicken Barbecue, 5:00 p.m. The local lions club will have a Chicken at the parking lot across from Davis Electrical Service on Randolph Avenue (former IGA). The meal will include half a chicken, two side items, roll, dessert, and bottled water. The meals will be ready for drive-through and walk-up pickup by 11 a.m.
Mountain State Street Machines Auto Extravaganza: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (these times could slightly change)
