City of Elkins Announces Results of June 10, 2025 Municipal Election
Elkins, WV, June 11, 2025: The City of Elkins has announced the uncertified results of yesterday’s Municipal Election and canvassed the results during a meeting on June 16, 2025. Below are the outcomes of the five City Council races:
FIRST WARD
- Robert Clee Chenoweth (incumbent, unopposed): 36
- (1 provisional ballot pending)
SECOND WARD
- Lisa Severino (incumbent, unopposed): 35
- (2 provisional ballots pending)
THIRD WARD
- Erika Lynn Plishka (incumbent, unopposed): 10
FOURTH WARD
- Jon Clingerman (challenger): 35
- Nanci Bross-Fregonara (incumbent): 131
FIFTH WARD
- David Clinton Parker (incumbent): 35
- Burley Woods (challenger): 49
Next Steps
The City will conduct its vote canvassing on Monday, June 16, at 11:00 a.m. at the Phil Gainer Center (142 Robert E. Lee Ave.). Final certification will take place on Wednesday, June 18, at the same location.
Next Election
Elkins’ 10-member City Council consists of two representatives from each of its five wards, elected to staggered terms. The next municipal election, in June 2027, will include the remaining five Council seats and the mayoral race.
