City Hall Closed May 12 and 25, 2026: Updates on Services

Elkins, WV — May 6, 2026: Elkins City Hall will be closed on two dates this month.

Tuesday, May 12: City Hall offices will be closed because of the West Virginia Primary Election. The City’s garbage collection schedule will not be affected. Residents whose trash is picked up on Tuesday will see no change in service.

Monday, May 25: City Hall offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. Residents whose garbage is collected on Mondays will have that week’s trash pickup delayed by one day. Elkins’ sanitation crew will pick it up on Tuesday, May 26. The Sanitation Department will work a double shift on the 26th to make up for the holiday.
