Sanitation & Street Departments Updates, Jan. 26

The following is a Monday morning message from the City of Elkins Operations Manager.

Street Department: Crews have been plowing and treating roads since 2 a.m. on Sunday. The initial 10-person crew worked in shifts and operated at full strength Sunday afternoon until approximately 7 p.m. A crew of 9 employees continues to work and will remain on duty throughout the day and evening.

Sanitation Department: This crew is running with a reduced crew of 7 today. While confident in completing the normal Monday pickup route, residents should anticipate possible delays. Any trash not collected today will be picked up tomorrow.

What You Can Do: Please stay safe and only drive if absolutely necessary. Thank you.
