State Maintained Roads

Although the City of Elkins is responsible for the maintenance of most streets and roads inside city limits, the following roads belong to and are maintained by the West Virginia Department of Highways (DOH). Because these roads are not city property, DOH is responsible for patching and paving, drainage, and other work to maintain and improve the adjacent rights of way.

  • 11th Street
  • Diamond Street east of its intersection with Woodford Drive
  • Georgetown Road
  • Harpertown Road
  • Harrison Avenue
  • Industrial Park Road
  • Randolph Avenue
  • Reed Street
  • Robert E. Lee Extension from Andrew Street to Georgetown Road
  • Sycamore Street
  • Wees Street
  • Wilson Lane
  • Worth Avenue
