8/25: Yard Waste Dropoff Closed

Yard-Waste Container Closed Until Friday Afternoon

The yard-waste container at the City of Elkins drop-off site, 1 Baxter Street, is temporarily closed because it has reached capacity. City crews have packed down the contents, but the container cannot be emptied until Friday morning.

The yard-waste container is expected to reopen Friday afternoon, August 28. Please do not bring yard waste to the site or leave materials outside the container while it is closed.

This closure applies only to the yard-waste container. The glass-recycling container remains available during regular drop-off hours.
