Elkins Public Safety Quick Reference Guide
We get it: It’s confusing sometimes to know when to call 911, or when to call another number. 911 is appropriate to call after working hours for something sudden like a water main break or sewer backup. Nevertheless, many of us are still programmed to call 911 only for emergencies.
To that end, we suggest programming this phone number into your cell phone:
304-636-2000
This is the Randolph County 911 Center’s non-emergency line. Please call it if you’re suddenly facing urgent water or sewer line problems after regular weekday working hours. We also suggest calling this number for non-urgent issues that would involve police, the fire department, or code enforcement.
Please download this quick reference guide; it’s also posted as an image below if you would prefer to bookmark this on your computer or tablet browser.
As always, in any life-threatening emergency, call 911.
Stay safe, stay informed, stay proactive: Together, we can keep ourselves and our fellow residents safe.
